Description: We invite you to enjoy peace, tranquility and the comfort of home in your own private space at Hockley Hills Bed and Breakfast. What's in store for you as our guest? A short drive to the country and you will gaze at the stars, breath in the fresh country air, and then drift off into a peaceful and tranquil sleep. You will rest in one of two guest bedrooms: The Autumn Leaves Room (Queen bed including en-suite bath with double shower) or the Summer Sky Room (King bed -- or two twin beds -- with private bathroom and sauna). Our pillow top beds are covered with 100% cotton sheets and comfy duvet or cotton quilts. In the morning, you will wake up to a delicious and hearty country breakfast. Our Breakfast Solarium, with its fresh scent of pine, has the feeling of a cozy log cabin. You can snuggle up on the two-seater couch in front of the stove or marvel at the view overlooking 5.5 acres of forest and rolling hills. The Solarium has a bar counter and sink, and includes a small bar fridge, coffee maker, microwave, kettle (a selection of teas and coffee), and a toaster, so that you can make your own lunch -- or bring in prepared food from the any of the stores and restaurants nearby. Guests enjoy their own living room with a wood stove and fireplace, a wide selection of books, DVD's, VCR's, CD's and an electronic keyboard. So bring your favorite music! You can play or sing to your heart's content -- to the enjoyment of your hosts. You can be as quiet or active as you like at Hockley Hills. If you want to lay back and take it easy, you can lounge on our summer patio enjoying the rich garden colors, or sink into the outdoor hot tub for a relaxing change. But the countryside is worth discovering - the Niagara Escarpment is known for its great hiking trails and pristine natural beauty. The Bruce Trail, the Mono Cliffs Conservation area and the Hockley Valley Nature Reserve offer some spectacular outdoor adventures. Try one of the golf courses nearby, horseback ride, or browse through the many fine art, pottery and antique shops. Or, arrange in advance for an in-house professional Hot Stone Therapy Massage or Reflexology treatment. You will find your stay here truly peaceful and serene. Our guests tell it best, so if you have a chance, read through some of their comments on our website. Location: Go to our website for directions and maps. FROM PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT: Take Airport Road north to Highway 9 (30 minutes). Continue north of Highway 9 on Airport Road about 10 kms, past Hockley Road (Dufferin County Road #7). At the top of the third -- and steepest -- hill (look for the blue sign with Seventh Heaven Apiary and Hockley Hills Bed and Breakfast on it), make an immediate turn to the right on 15 Sideroad. Travel 2 kms until you come to a stop sign at 7th Line EHS. Continue on 15th Sideroad to the second driveway on the left at #348451. |
